Requirements analysis is one crucial in the development process as well as the business case considerations. The analyses consist of the determination and derivation of the requirements for the system as well as their structuring.
The requirements describe the desired functional or quality-related behaviour of the system from the customer's point of view. At this point we are disregarding design and implementation.

Requirements documentation is the basis and framework for specifications and requirements documents. Test and validation plan also refer to requirements, that need to be fulfilled and verified according to predefined criteria.
Process "Evaluate feasibility" of DIN 69901-2
The process model of DIN 69901:2009 lists the independent process "Assess feasibility" as a standard. This is the second project management phase and provides the assessment of the feasibility of the project.
In this preliminary phase, feasibility studies are crucial tools within the scope of the project definition and help to decide whether and how a project can be carried out.
Telic offers the review of possible solutions for a project regarding their feasibility. Customers' design proposals are analysed, risks identified and prospects of success assessed.
In feasibility analyses, IoT concepts are critically examined to ensure that the plans can actually be implemented and that unprofitable investments can be prevented.

In addition to technical aspects, economic and political factors also play a role in the decision-making process regarding the feasibility of a project.
Models, demonstrators for trade fairs etc., functional samples and prototypes can be helpful when considering and evaluating these factors.
In addition to the production of A-samples, Telic also offers the rapid development of demonstrators and functional samples (rapid prototyping).
Telic can take advantage of its own product portfolio. The hardware and software of the products or A-samples can be adapted quickly, and functional samples and prototypes can be provided at short notice.
This form of "rapid prototyping" enables exactly the assistance regarding the evaluation of technical, economic and, if necessary, political decision criteria.
There are two kinds of requirements specification documents
One document summarizes the results of the requirements analysis. The Telic Consulting Team can take an advisory role or create the whole document if requested. Common errors are contradictory formulations or adverse structuring.
Telic divides the creation of the second document into two phases.
The first phase is created before the start of the project and contains rough design concepts, selection of possible A-components, mechanical and environmental aspects as well as basic outlines of the software architecture. The goal of this first phase is the commercial and timeline estimation of the whole project.
The second phase includes the complete elaboration of the requirement specifications plus open design decisions. This is now the binding basis of the project and product development.
Regardless of the project implementation, the Telic IoT Consulting team offers support as well as the creation of requirement specifications.
Consulting and project support can be designed or supplemented by targeted topic-related training courses and workshops.
Especially at the beginning of the requirements analysis, joint workshops are recommended for an intensive discussion of the requirements and expectations. Training sessions and workshops can be held either in person or via web meeting.
